Parker Pen Company is an American manufacturer of luxury fountain pens. The company was founded in 1888. All Parker models have been manufactured in Nantes, France since 2011.
The Pelikan Pen Company dates back to 1838, when chemist Carl Hornemann founded a paint and ink factory in Hanover, Germany.
In 1915, Ryōsuke Namiki, a then professor at Tokyo Naval University in Japan, left his job to set up a small factory near Tokyo to make gold pen tips. In 1916 prof. Namiki has expanded its product line and become a full-fledged manufacturer of writing instruments.
